About the Song

Many children are taught: Sticks and stones may break your bones but words can never hurt you.. It’s untrue!

Words can cut deep and wound just like physical abuse, words can tear down an individual and cause the devastation of a broken home

Society is ripe with emotional cripples unable to comprehend, let alone communicate the traumas of the past.

Many have built walls of protection; others use smoke screens and mirrors as survival kits to hide the hurt.

Like déjà vu, reoccurring echoes from the past can open old wounds again and again until resolved.

Some are too afraid to remember, so the buried memory ferments leaving only a scent like a vague knowing, a lingering feeling that won’t allow itself to be identified without first breaking through the walls of fear

Our song Haunting is about facing the pain of the past and removing the septic thorn inside

 Haunting  Lyrics

Verse 1

The rocking horse falls off the porch, as the wind chime rings divorce

Hopes and dreams of breaking free, are hidden somewhere underneath

The darkest sky said don’t ask why, you could never understand

This puzzles every boy and girl; it’s still haunting every man

Chorus 1

Echo’s from the past still scream out loud, inside your mind

It’s haunting, it’s haunting, it’s haunting

Verse 2

Like de ja vu there’s nothing new, it’s the same for all mankind

Fighting off those memories, it’s a battle of the mind

Chorus 2

Echo’s from the past still scream out loud, inside your mind

Terrified that no one knows, the depth from which you climbed

I still believe that you and me, can beat this haunting

This haunting, this haunting, this haunting

Lead

Chorus 3

Echo’s from the past still scream out loud, inside your mind

Terrified that no one knows, the depth from which you climbed

I still believe that you and me, can beat this haunting

This haunting, this haunting, this haunting
